Myriota Joins ETSI to Help Standardize Satellite IoT
Myriota, a leader in low-power satellite IoT connectivity, has joined the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to help shape the future of 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). As an ETSI associate member, Myriota will contribute its decade of experience to the 3GPP standards that define how satellite and terrestrial networks work together.
This move aligns with Myriota’s push for global interoperability—letting customers use off-the-shelf cellular IoT devices on its satellite network without hardware changes. Its HyperPulse™ platform, the first of its kind to implement 5G NTN over geostationary satellites using beam-hopping tech, delivers ultra-efficient, battery-friendly connectivity across industries like logistics and utilities.
By joining ETSI, Myriota aims to scale standards-based satellite IoT—delivering low-cost, long-life connectivity at a global scale.
