Eutelsat and InterSAT Expand Satellite Connectivity Across Africa

Eutelsat Group and InterSAT have extended their long-standing partnership with a new multi-year deal for Ku-band capacity on the EUTELSAT 7C satellite, expanding coverage across Central and Eastern Africa. InterSAT has also renewed its capacity on EUTELSAT 70B and is exploring the addition of OneWeb’s LEO network for even broader and lower-latency service.

This expanded collaboration strengthens InterSAT’s ability to deliver fixed data services to governments, enterprises, and institutions in some of Africa’s most underserved regions. With both GEO and potential LEO assets in play, the partnership showcases how hybrid satellite infrastructure can bridge the digital divide—reliably and cost-effectively.

Eutelsat and InterSAT’s continued alliance underscores the enduring value of geostationary satellites while paving the way for next-gen, multi-orbit solutions.
