NextPlat’s Global Telesat Expands IoT Portfolio with Telit Cinterion
NextPlat subsidiary Global Telesat Communications (GTC) has signed a distribution agreement with Telit Cinterion, expanding its portfolio with advanced 5G, AI-enabled, and edge-computing IoT solutions for large-scale industrial and enterprise markets.
The deal strengthens GTC’s ability to offer hybrid terrestrial–non-terrestrial connectivity. By combining Telit Cinterion’s global 5G and device-management capabilities with GTC’s satellite-enabled connectivity footprint, the partnership supports IoT deployments that require resilient coverage across both terrestrial networks and satellite links, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, energy, and utilities.
The agreement allows GTC to layer 5G IoT and edge intelligence on top of its existing satellite services, helping enterprises address connectivity gaps, simplify global roaming, and maintain service continuity in remote or infrastructure-limited environments. This hybrid model aligns with growing demand for NTN-augmented IoT architectures, where satellite connectivity complements cellular networks to enable truly global deployments.
Both companies position the partnership as a way to accelerate time-to-market for industrial IoT solutions while supporting the rapidly expanding satellite IoT market.
