Keysight Validates First 5G NR-NTN Conformance Test Cases
Keysight Technologies has achieved the industry’s first validation of 5G New Radio Non-Terrestrial Network (NR-NTN) conformance test cases under the PTCRB certification program, marking a key milestone toward commercializing satellite-enabled 5G devices.
Validated under 3GPP Release 17, the test cases provide chipset and device manufacturers with a trusted compliance path for NR-NTN performance and interoperability. Keysight’s solutions now support all FR1 NTN frequency bands, including n255 and n256, using unified hardware and software for NB-NTN, NR-NTN, and LTE Direct-to-Cell testing.
As mobile and satellite ecosystems converge, these validated tests will help manufacturers certify devices capable of connecting to 5G networks via satellites, ensuring global coverage and network resilience in remote or disaster-affected areas.
