Intersputnik and Türksat Sign MoU for Joint Satellite Communications

Intersputnik and Türksat have signed an MoU aimed at deepening cooperation across satellite communications, including joint project development, shared satellite capacity and collaboration on future spacecraft procurement.

Signed at AfricaCom 2025 in Cape Town by Intersputnik Director General Ksenia Drozdova and senior Türksat executives, the agreement opens the door to coordinated work on broadcasting, broadband connectivity, mobile internet access and bandwidth leasing across existing and planned satellites including Türksat-6A, whose forthcoming coverage spans India, Europe and the Middle East.

The partnership provides Türksat with access to Intersputnik’s global orbital resources, while enabling Intersputnik to tap Türksat’s fleet for commercial and government projects. Both operators describe the MoU as a step toward strengthening their global market positions and advancing international cooperation in support of digital inclusion and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
