Eutelsat and MSTelcom Partner for LEO Connectivity in Angola with OneWeb

Eutelsat has signed a new distribution agreement with MSTelcom, a subsidiary of Sonangol Group, to extend its OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity services across Angola. The partnership will provide high-speed, low-latency broadband to support critical operations in the oil & gas, maritime, and enterprise sectors, as well as fixed land-based networks in remote areas.

Under the terms of the agreement, MSTelcom will act as a local distributor of OneWeb services, offering secure and resilient LEO connectivity to enterprise, public sector, and telecom customers nationwide. Eutelsat, the only licensed LEO operator in Angola, will leverage its existing ground infrastructure including local gateways and Points-of-Presence (PoP) to deliver robust performance and coverage.

Eutelsat VP Africa Philippe Baudrier said the partnership “expands the reach of our LEO services in Angola and strengthens our work supporting the country’s connectivity needs,” while Felisberta de Jesus, CEO of MSTelcom, emphasized the collaboration’s role in “providing next-generation connectivity solutions in demanding and remote environments.”
