Deutsche Telekom Joins EU’s IRIS² Satellite Project

Deutsche Telekom is joining IRIS², the EU’s next-gen satellite initiative aimed at strengthening Europe’s secure, resilient and sovereign communications infrastructure.

As part of the SpaceRISE consortium led by SES, Eutelsat and Hispasat, DT will deliver core connectivity and IT infrastructure, including secure WAN, advanced data center services, and a 5G core.

The constellation will include 282 satellites across LEO and MEO orbits, supporting civil protection, crisis response, critical infrastructure, and broadband for enterprise users.
