Cohere Launches Pulsone, Targeting Situational Awareness for 6G and Non-Terrestrial Networks

Cohere Technologies has unveiled Pulsone™, a new business unit developing wireless solutions that bridge Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and next-generation Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) systems, viewed as key pillars of future 6G networks.

Powered by Cohere’s Zak-OTFS waveform, Pulsone operates natively in the Delay-Doppler domain, enabling reliable, low-latency connectivity in highly dynamic environments — from multi-satellite links to high-speed aerial and maritime mobility. This waveform architecture enhances predictability, stability, and real-time sensing, addressing the performance limits of legacy 5G systems.

The technology underpins situational awareness — a core capability of future 6G networks that merge radar-like sensing with data transmission to detect movement, objects, and environmental changes. Potential applications range from defense and drone surveillance to industrial automation, smart cities, and autonomous mobility.
