Anritsu Gains Skylo Certification to Accelerate NTN Device Readiness
Anritsu has said that it has achieved certification for its RF and protocol test cases under Skylo Technologies’s non-terrestrial network (NTN) specifications, strengthening support for standards-based satellite IoT deployments.
The certification covers Anritsu’s ME7873NR and ME7834NR test platforms under Skylo’s Carrier Acceptance Test program, enabling device makers to validate NB-IoT NTN chipsets, modules, and devices against Skylo’s 3GPP Release 17–based network. The tools provide automated, repeatable testing that integrates terrestrial 4G/5G protocols with NTN-specific parameters, reducing test time and accelerating time to market.
The move supports growing demand for satellite-enabled NB-IoT across sectors such as agriculture, logistics, maritime, and mining, where coverage gaps persist. By enabling end-to-end validation for terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks in a single environment, the certification is intended to improve interoperability and reliability as Skylo expands its global NTN footprint.
