York Space Systems to Acquire ALL.SPACE in Multi-Orbit Connectivity Push

York Space Systems has announced plans to acquire ALL.SPACE, in a move aimed at strengthening resilient, multi-domain communications across increasingly complex satellite networks.

The acquisition brings ALL.SPACE’s software-defined terminal technology into York’s portfolio, including its Hydra platform, which enables simultaneous connectivity across multiple satellite orbits and frequency bands. The system is designed to maintain communications across low, medium, geostationary and highly elliptical orbits, supporting platforms operating across air, land, sea and space.

Unlike traditional satcom systems that rely on a single network, ALL.SPACE’s approach allows dynamic switching and aggregation across multiple links, improving resilience in contested or disrupted environments. This capability is particularly relevant for defence and mission-critical applications, where uninterrupted connectivity is essential.

While much of the focus in NTN has been on direct-to-device services and integration with terrestrial networks, the transaction highlights a parallel trend: the need for robust, multi-layer connectivity infrastructure capable of operating in dynamic and contested environments.
