WISeSat Expands Secure IoT Constellation
WISeKey, alongside subsidiaries SEALSQ and WISeSat.Space, has successfully placed a new secure-communications satellite into orbit aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-16 mission, advancing its plan to build a sovereign, quantum-ready IoT constellation for European and global customers.
The newly deployed WISeSat spacecraft includes an updatedsmallsat architecture, featuring:
Software-defined radio (SDR) payloads for in-orbit reconfiguration and adaptation to evolving NTN standards.
Higher data-rate links to support mission-critical IoT, cybersecurity, and industrial applications.
Integration with SEALSQ post-quantum chips, enabling quantum-resistant identities and secure onboarding for billions of IoT devices.
The constellation is designed to deliver low-power, real-time IoT connectivity, secure command authentication, encrypted telemetry, and future quantum-safe key distribution which, WISeSat hopes, will provide secure NTN services for government, defense, and critical-infrastructure operators.
To support the scaling constellation, WISeSat recently installed a new ground antenna in La Línea, Spain, with additional infrastructure coming online in Switzerland, expanding real-time monitoring, mission control, and secure data handling.
