SpinLaunch Taps Aalyria to Orchestrate Meridian LEO Network

SpinLaunch has partnered with Aalyria Technologies to support the development of its Meridian low Earth orbit (LEO) communications constellation, with a focus on network management and optimisation.

At the centre of the agreement is the integration of Aalyria’s Spacetime platform as the orchestration layer for Meridian, designed to dynamically manage connections across satellite and ground networks. The software is intended to handle the complexity of multi-orbit, multi-domain environments, coordinating resources in real time to improve performance and reliability.

The Meridian constellation is being developed as a flexible, scalable system, and the partnership reflects the need for a vendor-agnostic control layer as constellations grow in size and complexity. Aalyria’s platform will also support SpinLaunch’s “fractional ownership” model, where customers can operate dedicated capacity within a shared global network while retaining control over coverage and data.

The approach points to a broader shift in how satellite networks are being designed. As constellations scale, the challenge is less about deploying satellites and more about managing them efficiently as part of a wider, interconnected system spanning space, air and ground infrastructure.

Spacetime is already used in a range of commercial and government programmes and supports open standards, including O-RAN interfaces, allowing integration with 5G NTN architectures. For SpinLaunch, this provides a foundation for building a more flexible “network of networks” as Meridian moves toward deployment.
