Space42 Announces Global Availability of New Thuraya-4 NTN Satellite

Space42 has announced the global availability of Thuraya-4 (T4-NGS), its new next-generation mobile communications satellite, marking an expansion of the UAE company’s Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) capabilities across Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

Built on the Airbus Eurostar Neo platform, Thuraya-4 combines L-band reliability with advanced onboard processing, a 12-meter reflector antenna, and software-defined reconfigurability. The satellite enables real-time bandwidth allocation, dynamic coverage management, and integration with terrestrial networks—paving the way for IoT and Direct-to-Device connectivity.

Supporting 16 new government and enterprise-grade products, the system spans broadband mobility, maritime and aviation services, tactical communications, and deployable networks. It will serve as the cornerstone of Space42’s mobile satellite services business, anchored by a USD 708 million, 15-year government contract.
