Anritsu Showcases NTN Use Cases for Automotive Safety

Anritsu Corporation, in collaboration with major industry players including BMW Group, Deutsche Telekom, LG, Viasat, and Skylo, has successfully demonstrated 3GPP Rel-17 Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) use cases at the 5GAA meetings in Paris.

Using its Network Master Pro MT1000A and virtual test tools, Anritsu helped validate key NTN performance metrics such as latency and reliability in real-world scenarios. The tests showcased critical safety applications, including:

  • Local hazard warnings

  • Emergency messaging

  • Voice over NTN

  • Seamless switching between terrestrial and satellite networks

The demos highlight NTN’s potential to deliver real-time alerts to drivers and first responders in remote or disrupted areas, pushing forward a safer, more connected mobility ecosystem.
